Arlington Chamber Collegiate Council

The Arlington Chamber Collegiate Council (ACCC) is an outreach of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce that encourages college students to integrate throughout the business community. The ACCC is dedicated to molding future community leaders by imparting knowledge and providing access to available resources in Arlington with the goal of further the Chamber mission of building a sustainable community.

An ACCC individual must be a “student” member in good standing of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. (Good standing means dues paid at the date of membership.)

To participate, the ACCC member must currently be a full time student and fall into one of the following categories.

  • UT Arlington student – enrolled in one of the schools striving for a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree.
  • Tarrant County College – Southeast Campus Student – enrolled in a program with the intent of achieving a bachelor’s degree or higher from UT Arlington.

ACCC Organization

Exposure to Business – ACCC members will have the opportunity to meet and build business relationships with other student leaders and the professional community. The exposure will enrich the student business experience; providing valuable insights into business and presence in the community. These business networking and public services initiatives include current Chamber of Commerce activities, as well as those implemented by the ACCC.

ACCC representatives may be nominated to attend select other Chamber Council meetings and be responsible for reporting to the ACCC membership on major learning to share – opportunities, networking and business advancement.

Opportunities – ACCC members will be granted opportunities to build professional relationships, identify potential internship programs, future career networking and connections with charities and businesses while promoting civic pride.

Education – ACC members are welcome to attend various Arlington Chamber of Commerce seminars, workshops and development programs to advance their level of education while gaining hands-on experience in the business community.

The ACCC will be open to all students meeting the requirements noted above.

The ACCC will have an advisory committee consisting of student leaders from their respective schools – officers and members of clubs and organizations recognizing progressive students. This includes student congress, academic organizations and similar college entities. The advisory committee will annually nominate a chair and vice chair for review and approval by the Chamber’s Personnel Committee. The ACCC will be mentored by the Arlington Chamber Young Professionals and Women’s Alliance as part of the Business Development Advisory Council.
